Electric & Power Vietnam 2016 Concluded On An Upbeat Note
With positive feedback from all fronts, the combined Electric & Power Vietnam 2016 – Industrial Automation Vietnam 2016 exhibition concluded with favorable outcomes, retaining its momentum since inception
Ho Chi Minh City, 28 September 2016 - Electric & Power Vietnam 2016 - The 6th International Power Generation, Transmission & Distribution, Electrical Installation Technology Exhibition and Industrial Automation Vietnam 2016 - The 6th International Industrial Power Automation, Process & Control Technology Exhibition concluded on a high note on the 16th September 2016 in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. Representing the depth and breadth of the electric power infrastructure value chain, the combined exhibition attracted an audience of 4,609 trade visitors from 22 countries and regions, including 195 group delegations. Into its 6th edition, the show has gone from strength to strength with a strong line-up of renowned exhibitors, reflecting its importance and relevance to the electric power sector in Vietnam.
“We are pleased with the general rise in the quality of visitors to this trade event, which in turn has encouraged more participation from international and local exhibitors. A few of our clients have used the Electric and Power Vietnam trade show to seal deals with partners. Notably this year, we saw many returning exhibitors and a significant increase in groups visiting the show – a testament to the event’s position in the industry,” said Mr. BT Tee – Deputy Director, Vietnam Representative Office, Singapore Exhibition Services.
“Moving forwards, we intend to expand the profile of the exhibition to include more factory technologies to improve the visiting experience of our growing factory based visitor ship – engineers and technicians in particular,” he also added.
Exhibitors were satisfied with their business contacts
Electric & Power Vietnam 2016, together with Industry Automation Vietnam 2016, have once again proven itself as a leading trade show for one-stop power and energy solutions plus automation and process technologies in Vietnam. A total of 151 exhibitors from 22 countries and regions were housed across the exhibiting area of 7,000 square meters – together with the strong presence of 7 international country groups from China, Germany, Korea, India, Singapore, Taiwan and Turkey. The 6th edition continued to bring the best vendors and suppliers all under one roof, enabling them to network with key decision-makers, introduce new innovative technology concepts, grow the customer base as well as build strategic alliances.
Renowned brands and leading industry players participating in Electric & Power Vietnam 2016 included, but were not limited to: ABB, Aksa Power Generation (China), Dong Nam Petroleum, Eyecap Korea, First Power Korea, G7 Technology, Hanyoung Nux Vietnam, Honeywell International, KJ Power Generator, Klemsan Electric Electronic, Kudos Mechanical, Osemco, Rittal, Takamoto. Many exhibitors clinched several orders on the spot and were highly satisfied with the quality of their business contacts.
Jintae Park - Senior Manager - Korea Electric Power Corporation (KEPCO) shared: “This is the 5th time KEPCO has supported Electric & Power Vietnam. We always find it as an important business platform for Korean suppliers to promote their products and solutions to the potential buyers in the local market.”
Ms. Jenny Yang - Division Manager - Taiwan Electrical and Electronic Manufactures’ Association (TEEMA) added: “We had a 108m2 stand for Taiwan at Electric & Power Vietnam 2016. Our exhibitors were very satisfied with the contacts they made. EPV has become the most significant power and energy technology exhibition in Vietnam. We look forward to another successful show in 2018!”
Mr. Okan KOLCUOGLU – Asia Pacific Area Manager – Klemsan Electric Electronics Inc. echoed the same sentiments: “Klemsan concentrates on the design and manufacturing of embedded software and hardware for electronic products, and special software for test apparatus-devices. We have been doing business in Vietnam for more than 6 years. I prefer this exhibition pretty much because it has been well organized and provided us with a match-making opportunity to network with potential customers not only from Vietnam but also from other neighboring countries like Cambodia and Myanmar.”
Continuous support from buyers and trade visitors
The growing industry trade visitors to this exhibition is a testament to the importance and value Electric & Power Vietnam brings to the industry. Most of the visitors hailed this 2016 edition as a success since it offered immediate access to a myriad of international suppliers as well as to a wide assortment of top-notch contemporary technologies and solutions on display.
The show also set a record of 195 visiting delegations from major power factories and enterprises across the nation, particularly CADIVI Dong Nai, Electric Equipment JSC, EVN SPC – PC Ben Tre, EVN SPC - PC Can Tho, EVN SPC - PC Kon Tum, EVN SPC - PC Vinh Long, Hiep Hung Phat Construction, IDICO Urban and House Development Investment JSC, Nippon Kouatsu Electric Vietnam, Phu My Fertilizer Plant, Song La Technical Equipment, to name just a few.

We have learnt much from our trip this time and we definitely continue to support the next edition.”
Also upbeat about the show was Mr. Tran Minh Tam – I&C Workshop Deputy Manager – Branch of PetroVietnam Fertilizer & Chemicals Corporation – Phu My Fertilizer Plant. “Electric & Power Vietnam, co- located with Industrial Automation Vietnam, is one of the most important electrical power and automation exhibitions in Vietnam. This year’s edition has grown on a larger scale compared to the previous one, with a wide variety of products on display and a healthy presence of international exhibitors. This third visit to the show was quite helpful since we have had chances to stay up-to-date with the latest power technologies and solutions available. We look forward to returning to EPV in 2018,” he shared.

Useful technical seminars
The electric power sector in Vietnam is growing rapidly and as such manufacturers and suppliers need to be able to keep up with the pace to stay relevant in this ever-changing industry. In this light, a full roster of technical seminars and workshops were held alongside Electric & Power Vietnam 2016, with the aim of providing a knowledge platform where participants were able to get immersed in ample networking opportunities, critical business insights and topical debates.
ABB Vietnam Company Limited brought to the show two in-depth seminars entitled “Enhancing Protection Level Against Power Quality Event - Energy Efficiency, Doing More with Less” and “All Compatible Drive ACS580 - Switch on Simplicity Without Trading off Efficiency”, drawing strong attendance of more than 140 trade delegates. The eye-opening seminars offered the audience a glimpse inside the next-generation products as well as different power quality issues faced by the industry.
Honeywell International Inc. was also onboard with the educational technology seminar that covered a wide spectrum of topics, ranging from Connected Building to Security and Fire Alarm Solution for Industrial Facilities, and Electrical Safety Solution.
Additionally, the exclusive seminar “Toward Efficient Usage of Energy with ISO 50001 and Industrial Wireless Security” hosted by Lean Six Sigma Network attracted strong interest and participation of over 95 trade delegates. Assembling a strong line-up of guest speakers from major organizations, the seminar covered a lot of technical knowledge and invaluable insights into energy efficiency programs, with keynotes ranging from the energy management system ISO 50001, to energy saving and industrial wireless security solutions.
“In the editions to come we hope to increase the number of technology seminars for the benefit of attendees. Energy efficiency technologies and practices will be a key focus area plus we also strive to promote a more carbon neutral program for Vietnam through the exhibition,” expressed Mr. BT Tee – Deputy Director, Vietnam Representative Office, Singapore Exhibition Services.
