ELECTRIC & POWER VIETNAM 2018 – ENERGIZING VIETNAM !

After six successful editions, Electric & Power Vietnam 2018 returns for its 7th edition as the leading power generation, transmission, distribution and renewable energy exhibition in Vietnam. The exhibition happens at the Saigon Exhibition & Convention Center (SECC) from 12 – 14 September 2018, and this year Electric and Power Vietnam co-locates with Renewable Energy Vietnam 2018 to become the largest energy event in Vietnam.

Balancing industry growth expectations with sustainable resource management

In Asia, Vietnam currently retains its position as the country with the most consistent GDP growth over a decade with a high industrialization rate as international manufacturers continue to move regional production into Vietnam. With energy cost being one of the lowest in the region, coupled with improving infrastructure and a competitive workforce – this industrialization process together with a corresponding improvement to quality of life and middle income growth of the Vietnamese population will drive power consumption growth in the years to come. The country is expected to increase power consumption by between 10-12% per annum up till 2020 offering many business opportunities in this sector in equipment and technology supplies for ongoing power generation projects, gas-fired power generation and renewable power, investment in IPP projects and in the transmission and distribution projects supporting EVN and her partners.

The need to reduce the country’s carbon footprint and public pressure to move away from more polluting sources into cleaner power options adds an additional business spectrum to the already buoyant industry. Renewable energy from the Solar and Wind sectors have seen support from both the Government and private sectors with positive legislation developments, and together with cleaner fossil fuel generation through new technologically advanced power stations currently being built, offers vast opportunities in Vietnam’s energy business.

Electric & Power Vietnam and Renewable Energy Vietnam – Balancing growth with sustainable resources

The Electric and Power Vietnam 2018 and Renewable Energy Vietnam 2018 exhibition held from the 12-14 September 2018 offers the Vietnamese industry professional a window into world class advanced technologies and services, and offers the international seller a tool to gauge business possibilities in Vietnam. Over the past few editions, Electric and Power Vietnam has also become a networking platform where industry professionals meet and be updated on current technology trends.

With 7.000 square meters of exhibition area, this year’s event attracts more than 180 exhibitors from 22 countries and regions, some of these include and is not limited to the following - 3M, Aksa Power Generation, Ablerex Electronics, ESEC, Fuji CAC, Haintec, LTC, Rittal, Trinity Touch, Song La, Wuzhou.

The co-located Renewable Vietnam 2018 exhibition is also an expanding sector dedicated to green technologies and particularly this year, solar energy exhibits with solar cells, CIGS thin – film PV modules; T&D equipment for solar PV and wind along with optimized renewable energy sources solutions on feature, presented by companies such as Chinaland Solar Energy, Mibet Energy, Goodwe, HT Solar, Toshiba, VSUN, and many more.

The event this year hosts 6 international group pavilions from Korea Electric Power Corporation (KEPCO) – consisting of KEPCO and technology suppliers, Indian Electrical and Electronics Manufacturers Association (IEEMA), Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology (BMWi - Germany), Taiwan Electrical Equipment Manufacturers Association (TEEMA) and independent groups from India, China, and Turkey.

Seminars at the event

Held in conjunction with the exhibition, a renewable energy seminar titled “Solution to encourage and develop Renewable Energy in Vietnam” will be organized by UBM and is supported by the Vietnam Energy Conservation and Energy Efficiency Association (VECEA), ECC-HCM. This program offers delegates an insight into opportunities and challenges in the growing renewable energy sector in Vietnam. Expect interesting speakers from the VECEA, Ministry and Trade and the Renewable Energy Development Center, Vietnam energy Institute and Prof. Dr.- Ing. Christoph Menke, Trier University of Applied Sciences and Distinguished Professor of Joint Graduate School of Energy and Environment (JGSEE), KMUTT.

Lean Six Sigma brings to the event a program on Industrial Communication for the Connected Factory, and a Health, Safety and Security program tailored for the power station individual and for those working in process plants in power and electrical engineering

In addition to Lean Six Sigma programs, the Centre of Law Consultancy and Human Resource Development (Vietnam Association of Small and Medium Enterprises - VINASME) will organize a technology seminar on intelligent electrical equipment and power generation safety.
