INCREASING IN POWER CONSUMPTION NOT EVEN IN DRY SEASON   

According to the National Load Dispatch Center, in the first two months of 2020, the maximum capacity of the electricity system has reached 35,000 MW, which is slightly lower than the peak of 38,200 MW in June 2019.

 

The average power consumption in the first 2 months was 615 million kWh / day, an increase of 7.5% compared to the same period in 2019. The water shortage compared to the normal rising water level was 17.42 billion m3 (equivalent to 7.12 billion kWh of electricity). 
By the beginning of March, a lower water level in hydropower reservoirs compare to the same period of 2019 from 5 m to 24 m, the total water volume in the hydroelectric lakes is lower than 7.47 billion m3, equivalent to 3.15 billion kWh of electricity.
