This order follows a maiden 117 MW equipment order made recently.
Wind power industry leader Siemens Gamesa, along with engineering, procurement, and construction partner SEPEC-China Energy, would provide Vietnamese independent power producer Hanbaram Wind Power JSC with 100 MW equipment for the Hung Hai wind farm.
The 100 MW would serve as part of Hanbaram Wind Power’s expansion of its renewables portfolio, following a recently made 117 MW equipment order. The combined 217 MW onshore projects would generate enough electricity to power about 460,000 local households.
“Located in Gia Lai province, the Hung Hai wind farm will feature 25 units of its Siemens Gamesa 4.X platform in the 145 m rotor diameter variant, which are among the most powerful turbines in the Vietnamese market,” a statement read.
The project is slated to be commissioned in Q3 2021.
